April 7, 2017

On Sunday, April 30, the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana is celebrating YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day®, the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. A free community event from 1-3PM will be held at Dunigan Family YMCA to get kids moving and families living healthier.
YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day includes fun active play and educational activities to keep kids moving and learning like Kids Zumba, Kids Yoga, Born to Move, Obstacle Course, Martial Arts, and Archery  The first 300 kids will receive a goodie bag with t-shirt, water bottle, and our Summer Activity Challenge where kids can earn cool prizes like a beach towel, t-shirt, cinch sac, and a basketball for staying active all summer long.

The Y is so much more than sports, swimming and gymnastics, and a place for kids to hang out. The Y supports families in their efforts to teach healthy habits and keep kids active and learning, preparing them for a brighter future. It’s part of the Y’s promise to strengthen communities.

For more than 20 years, Healthy Kids Day® has celebrated kids’ health and continues to teach healthy habits for kids and families, encourage active play, and inspire a lifetime love of physical activity.

As a leading nonprofit committed to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y is addressing critical gaps in kids’ health and education. We encourage all families to attend. Click here for more details »
