Leadership Development

In It To Win It: The 7 Habits Way

The IN IT TO WIN IT program for 7th & 8th grades, helps youth develop helpful habits that will make them more productive family members, friends, students and community members. Participants meet for eight sessions and are led by two trained facilitators who have been certified to lead the program. The program is based on the book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens’, by Sean Covey.

Financial Fitness

(Youth-Adults)As a regional partner of the Federal Reserve Bank, the YMCA has been able to offer many financial education opportunities to youth and adults in our community:

  • Reality Store: Partnering with local and state agencies, the YMCA presents this reality-store event at local middle schools to educate youth on the realities of the cost of living.
  • Money Smart Week: Opportunities to learn more about making sound financial decisions are sponsored by the YMCA partnering with local and state agencies on issues such as taxes, re-banking, budgeting, and planning for the future during this national annual event.
